Reading - Activity - Discovery is what the RAD Lab is all about!

BOOKS and e-books on subjects ranging from bugs to bridges to the human brain. Digital resources like WorldBook Online, too!

RAD PACKS with binoculars, a net, a bug container, a magnifying glass, a compass and a flashlight - all you need to explore the outdoors! The RAD Lab also extends to our outdoor space which features two amazing murals that exhibit all of the plant and animal life indigenous to this area.

PROGRAMS for all age groups to spark your curiosity in science, engineering and art. Past programs include Moons of Jupiter, Bee Keeping, Lego Robots, Fun with Forts, Wild Seed Bombs, Lenape Clay Pots and much more with partners like Clean Ocean Action, Insectropolis, Snapology, WildJersey and ZooJersey.

HANDS-ON SCIENCE BASED ACTIVITIES like animal x-rays, MAGNA-TILES, BrainFlakes and Straw Constructors that promote constructive play and experimentation.

Visit the Children’s Room to see what the RAD Lab has to offer! The RAD Lab was made possible by a generous grant from the Mary Borden Foundation.

Our Story Walk is located along the brick pathways of Riverside Gardens Park, just down the street from the Library. The Story Walk allows the Library to reach the public outdoors and promotes literacy, activity and community.  Perfect for young families, dog walkers and anyone out for a stroll - we invite you to check it out. Book installations are changed monthly.

The StoryWalk®  Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
