Using the Library’s Locker System is as easy as 1,2,3!

The Red Bank Public Library’s 24-Hour Locker System allows patrons the flexibility to pick up holds any time of day or night, even when the library is closed! All library materials are available for pick up in our locker system. Patrons can even request print jobs for pick up. (The Library will provide up to 10 pages printed for free.) Steps on how to use this service are below.

For more information check out the FAQ below or call the library. Para obtener instrucciones en español, haga clic aquí

STEP ONE: PLACE A HOLD

Use the library catalog, library app, or call the library (732-842-0690) to get help from staff over the phone.

If you are calling the library or have come in to place a book on hold, simply inform staff at that time that you would like to do a locker pick-up.  If you are using the online catalog or library app, select Red Bank 24-Hour Locker from the drop-down menu for pickup library.

STEP TWO: WAIT FOR AN EMAIL

If you’ve selected our locker system for pick up, you will receive an email or text from Package Concierge (our locker service) with a six-digit code and a scannable barcode that can be used to open the locker.

If you do not want to use the lockers, you can pick the book up in person at the circulation desk during open hours. If you’d like to make alternative arrangements, give us a call.

STEP THREE: PICK UP YOUR ITEMS

Your item will remain in the locker for three days after we’ve sent you the code. You can pick it up at literally any time in that window, regardless of whether the library is open or not. All you need to do is walk up to our locker system, and enter your code.

The code comes in the form of both a bar code and an alphanumeric code, so you can print it to be scanned at the lockers, you can scan it from the screen of a smartphone, or you can simply type in the alphanumeric code.

The code is unique to you for this single transaction — no one else will be able to access your materials except for library staff.

Step Two: pick up your items
