Recognizing the need to diversify and expand the local historic record, the T. Thomas Fortune Project invites the African American Community to bring memorabilia: photos, letters, invitations, flyers, articles, etc, for digitization on Wednesday, August 15 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the West Room. There is a special interest in items relating to Red Bank, Monmouth County, or Civil Rights. Items will be scaned and preserved for use in displays at the T. Thomas Fortune Cultural Center, opening this fall, as well as at the Red Bank Public Library. Registration is not required. If interested in sharing your memorabilia, but unable to attend, please call the TTF Project at (732) 759-0691 to make an alternate appointment.
